Our newest publication has just come out in the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Journal. We’re pleased to note that this paper’s first author is our newest CREST.BD network member, Dr. Emma Gliddon, whose work and expertise in online technologies for BD is a wonderful addition to the network.
Emma’s paper is a systematic review of the academic literature about existing Internet-based (eHealth) and smartphone-based (mHealth) approaches to self-management for bipolar disorder. In this article, 15 other papers were identified, and from those, the most commonly supported self-management categories were extracted. Some of these categories included “ongoing monitoring”, “education”, and “planning for and taking action”. Some of the least commonly support self-management categories included “relaxation” and “maintaining and healthy lifestyle”.
