During his PhD, Dr. Perez Algorta studied the latent structure of manic symptoms in children and adolescents using Taxometric analyses. Before this, he worked on a team researching violence in schools. Dr. Perez Algorta’s current research interests include phenomenology, evidence based assessment and treatment of bipolar spectrum disorders. He opened a research stream at Lancaster about circadian dysregulation’s impact on sleep and mood symptoms. He is interested in evaluate brief and low cost interventions for bipolar disorders. He is also interested in aggressive and self-destructive behaviours, and externalizing disorders (ADHD).
Spending time with my young family energizes me. When I’m not doing that I also love playing football (even in the rain).
