We are dedicated to collaborative research and knowledge exchange about psychological and social factors in bipolar disorder. Our mission is to optimise the health and quality of life of people living with bipolar disorder.
CREST.BD was the recipient of a major funding award from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR) in the agency’s 2010 ‘Network Catalyst – Knowledge Translation’ competition. CREST.BD’s application was ranked first in the entire competition and was awarded 3 years of funding to support the growth of the provincially-focused team (British Columbia) into a Canada-wide network.
Our vision is that we will contribute to a world where people living with bipolar disorder enjoy optimized health and quality of life and minimal stigma as a result of tailored treatment and/or self-management interventions informed by effective psychosocial research and knowledge exchange.
The opportunities to collaborate and support the work of CREST.BD researchers, advisory committees and projects across Canada, come in all shapes and sizes. We welcome ideas on research and knowledge exchange activities in bipolar disorders from people with lived experience of the condition family members and supporters, researchers, healthcare providers, and decision and policy-makers.
