Dr. Youngstrom is a licensed psychologist who specializes in the relationship of emotions and psychopathology, and the clinical assessment of children and families. He teaches heavily in the areas of assessment and therapy particularly with regard to bipolar disorder in children and youth, developmental psychopathology, research design, and statistics. He has earned the Carl F. Wittke, Glennan Fellowship, and the Northeastern Ohio Teaching Awards. Dr. Youngstrom also actively investigates ways of improving the use of clinical assessment instruments for making better differential diagnoses, predictions about future functioning, or monitoring of treatment progress – especially with regard to bipolar disorder across the lifespan.
I’m working on staying on my mountain bike. For 2016, I would like to do 100 pushups, a 15 second handstand, and grow a curly mane. (Two out of three won’t be bad!)
