Biography

Jeff Brozena is a PhD candidate at Penn State University in the Wellbeing and Health Innovation Lab advised by Dr Saeed Abdullah. Jeff works at the intersection of human-computer interaction and mental health and is currently investigating how financial technologies might support financial stability for individuals living with bipolar disorder. His work has been published in Frontiers in Psychiatry and the CHI conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, considered the premier conference in this field. Jeff was selected by the National Science Foundation as a recipient of the Graduate Research Fellowship. Prior to a career interruption and enrolling in graduate school, he worked for 10 years doing operations management and digital transformation in the healthcare sector. Jeff founded Penn State’s Active Minds chapter in 2010.

What I do when I'm not working

I love listening to music through my hi-fi system and hiking in forests with family.
