Dr. Kathryn Fletcher is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Mental Health, Swinburne University. She is also a practising clinical psychologist. Kathryn completed her PhD in 2013 at the Black Dog Institute (School of Psychiatry, University of New South Wales). She has co-authored over 50 publications in local and international scientific journals. Kathryn’s research interests are in bipolar disorder, the bipolar II disorder sub-type, psychological models and treatments, cognitive and coping styles, and developing novel online interventions to improve quality of life. She co-developed an innovative online psychological intervention (ORBIT) for bipolar disorder, and is currently involved in testing the effectiveness of this self-management program.
