Biography

Dr. Yatham’s areas of research interest include neurobiology and treatment of bipolar disorder and major depression. He has published over 250 peer reviewed papers, has a H index of 61, and presented his work at numerous international conferences. He was featured in Thomson Reuter’s The World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds: 2014 and 2015 as the highly cited researcher in psychiatry and psychology in Canada and as one of the top 100 in the world. He is the Chair of the bipolar disorder group of the Canadian Network for Mood and Anxiety Treatments (CANMAT) as well as the Secretary for the World Federation of Societies for Biological Psychiatry and was the past President for the International Society for Bipolar Disorders. He is on the editorial boards of a number of journals and has published/edited books on bipolar disroders.

What I do when I'm not working

I play tennis and golf regularly, and practice yoga.
